Crisis Intervention Training and Consultation

Taking a proactive approach by setting up a Crisis Intervention Plan allows schools and organizations to be prepared in the unfortunate event that a student, faculty member, or staff member dies.  This training gives organizations the tools needed to

  • Understand the grieving process, including identifying those students or faculty members who may need additional support
  • Setting up a Critical Incident Team and Plan
  • How to appopriately honor the person who died

Schools and organizations that have utilized this training have contacted The Amelia Center and expressed a greater sense of confidence in dealing with a death in their organization.  Organizations that activate their Critical Incident Plan many times do not need additional Crisis Intervention services.
